Harold at the Invictus Games 10th Anniversary Service

Held at St Paul's, yes, of course there was booing

There isn’t much to say except that Harold was due to attend the Invictus Games anniversary service at St Paul’s on 8 May 2024, and he did, and then left. For support, a Spencer aunt and uncle showed up and his lawyer David Sherborne (?). I guess after all the money he has made from Harold, the least he could do was offer a freebie appearance to fill up the seats.

Harold was greeted with a mixture of boos and cheers, and when he left, the boos were still audible as the sole bodyguard directed Harold to the cult members who were waiting in a specific area to shake hands with Harold. Talk about being obvious, where it was pointed out to him who to interact with as if it had been planned as per rent-a-crowd agreements.

The hashtag #HarryandMeghanRuinedInvictus was trending on the day, and a brief look at the comments on the IG social media show few interactions and 95% of them are from cult members and not even the veterans that the event is supposed to be for.

As for crowds, this was a weekday and in the evening on one the warmest days of the year so far, where only tourists would be out at that time of the day (5pm). Paternoster Square is right next to St Paul’s where there are numerous food outlets including a very handy Marks & Spencer (food) and so it is generally busy around there. There were obvious pockets of cult members in the crowds who appeared to be directed to cheer at intervals, and apparently ‘traitor’ was also heard from the crowds. Well, Traitors’ Gate was only a mile away!

And off Harold pops as he leaves the dangerous UK to the safer shores of Nigeria…
