This is American journalism at its finest, when a reporter calls TW, Princess Markle, and even when her colleague corrects her, she carries on using a non-existent title and name. It’s like one clown act meeting another clown act at a circus, except this was a serious situation where evacuated people were seeking help and refuge. I, like others could not stop rolling about the floor, laughing at the inept reporter, but the people of Pasadena did not deserve to have such poor reporting, or the Harkle bandwagon hoppers being there to diminish the good work that the volunteers had set up. The whole segment trivialised the reality of the situation and turned it into a cheap PR photo shoot for the Harkles.
I had to laugh when the reporter claimed that TW was eager to help out, when she was actually going to help herself to a drink and then found someone to hug because Harold was busy talking to someone else, and moved to a clear spot for the cameras. This was on 10 January 2025, when the wildfires were spreading and raging, so was there really time for idle chit chat and gratuitous hugging for the cameras? The duo had no status or authority to visit impacted sites, so why did the local officials agree to their requests? The reporter says they were mixing with the ‘commoners’– another stupid comment as TW is as common as they get and is a commoner. She just happens to be married to someone with a foreign title.
The mayor of Pasadena is equally to blame for entertaining them and taking them on a disaster tour. He then also appeared to have been briefed as to what to say, stating that the duo were not there for publicity, and if that was the case, then why have a camera crew following them, and why did they announce their visit to the press before they arrived?
Back in the UK, Harold’s lawsuit against NGN was due to start on 21 January 2025, but is seems that Harold, the ‘dragon slayer’ is now considering settling after stating he would not settle after 5 years. All the other claimants bar Tom Watson (another not so bright) have settled, and Justice Fancourt has lost his patience with Harold’s legal team who had been instructed to try and settle the case as offers had been made by NGN.
It begs the question as to whether Watson is merely playing a sidekick role for Harold as Doreen Lawrence is to the ANL case, to try and justify the lawsuit (a case of ‘it’s not just me but there are other victims’)?
An adjournment was requested and secret meetings were held just before the case was due to be heard. Money doesn’t appear to be a factor, but what NGN will admit to? When a case is settled there is no need to admit to any liability. On the surface, it looks as if Sherborne is concerned he won’t get paid and this is the best chance for Harold to get some money (to pay his bills), while trying to get NGN to admit some liability.

Reports claim that time was needed due to time differences and to receive instructions from the client, which means Harold didn’t stay up to watch the case Only 6 weeks ago, Harold declared he wanted accountability and that he was out to slay the media dragons and was not going to settle. The man can’t even be bothered to be up when his lawsuit is being heard in court, so much for being a dragon slayer–NOT. If he does settle, then he’s going to look stupid after claiming he’s out to protect everyone by taking on NGN. On the other hand, he already looks stupid for not settling when the other claimants did, and who appear to have been properly advised.
There has been a lot of time wasting and with 8 weeks set aside for the case, it has wasted court time and resources. This could have been settled at the same time as the other claimants, but part of me wants the case to go ahead to see Harold cross-examined in court. I imagine his legal team don’t want that as Harold has a habit of putting his foot in it, and perhaps that’s why they may try and persuade him to settle. Another angle to consider is that Harold’s legal team have tried to gain access to old BP and KP communications, perhaps in an attempt to claim/expose a cover-up and also to cover-up Diana’s death? Perhaps the fishing trip failed and this is a last ditch attempt to save face and to get some money to pay the legal bills?
