The Sussex 'Villains' Strike Again!

ITV and CBS plug their interviews with TOS as he promotes his ghostwritten memoir

Villains? The Overseas Son’s words–not mine! CBS and ITV are plugging the memoir PR interviews, but isn’t TOS merely repeating the same ‘poor me’ script as before just in front of different cameras, in different rented locations, and with different journalists? The interviews are to be aired the day before Kate’s first birthday (9 January) as the Princess of Wales, whether that is a coincidence or a vindictive move, you decide. The book will then be released on 10 January 2023.

We all know that the questions will have been prepared and answers rehearsed, and from the teasers it’s the same sob story of the Sussexes being painted as villains (they actually did that themselves), and being the victims of the institution of the Monarchy and the Royal Family in the UK. There is the same old TOS, waving his hands around and pulling faces, and his excessive sniffing has not gone unnoticed. Each time he gives an interview it must be traumatising for him as he looks as if he’s in a therapy session that isn’t going well.

What the duo fail to understand is that the masses decided for themselves that the duo were not particularly nice people from their interviews and personal appearances. If anything, the media tried to cover-up the bad behaviour for them, that was until people in the crowds posted genuine footage on social media that did not correlate to the edited versions the media aired. The fact that many dislike the duo is not down to the media or the RF, but it is because people have seen with their own eyes, and heard with their own ears what the duo have done and said. It is their rude and appalling behaviour that the public dislike.

In the clips. TOS is said to want his father and brother back, but only if they apologise it seems. Apologise for what precisely? Is he trying to get a seat at the Coronation, by playing victim and looking as if he wants to mend bridges by forcing them to apologise to him and that wife of his?

It’s the same old story of the accusations of the Royal Household planting stories about them, and then he exclaims that he would not return as a full-time working member of the RF. Well, no one actually wants you back, but then again he never actually wanted to be full-time, and never really was. When he retired (ahem) from the Army, he took a year off, and then his duties were often joint ones with other members of the RF. What is classed as full-time? Engagements that represented the Queen, and not the personal charities such as Invictus, WellChild, and Sentebale, so he didn’t really have that much to do.

We all know that TW and TOS pushed for a half in, half out, part-time model that was rejected. That way they could get all the free perks, and then monetise the titles as brand Sussex and make money. They were reminded by the late Queen that the idea was to serve the people and not to serve yourself.

The official line will probably be that TOS wasn’t paid for the interviews, but there will have been some negotiating with the expectation of a substantial donation to Archewell in lieu of a fee, considering the television channels aim to profit by charging premium advertising rates. Those funds might be used for the running of the Archewell office (the Montecito mansion) and to pay the staff…

The book is available at half-price (£14) before it’s released, and talks claim that Tesco will offer it at £8 as a club card price! I read the comments on the story, and most people said that it was overpriced by £7.99, and even if it was free people wouldn’t waste their time and energy reading it. What people are struggling to understand is why TOS is attacking his family and the UK, by claiming he is a victim, but then is stating he wants his family back, but on his terms. His view is that the family should apologise to him, but the consensus is that it is TOS who owes an apology to the UK and his family for the damage he has caused.

Just imagine if they had showed up at Christmas at Sandringham—there would have been silence or some hissing from the crowds, and who would have wanted to walk with them bar Eugenie and Jack? TOS (or TW) desperately wants to have role at the Coronation, but if C3 permits it, won’t it ruin the day that he has been waiting for his entire life? Can he risk that knowing that the duo will pull stunts without hesitation?
