The anniversary of Diana’s death came and went like a brief gust of wind, and that is in part perhaps because her youngest son has been peddling her image and death for his own personal gains. No one seemed to be interested in the Diana Award, and that might because of other international news such as the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, or various other scandals in the UK involving television presenters.
The media didn’t seem to be interested in Harold co-hosting the awards, and the media, and when it was revealed he had co-hosted a seminar ‘Conversations for Change’ with an activist back in June, wasn’t interested again. Why, because we all know that Harold is doing this for his own publicity.
The Diana card has been worn out, and now her legacy has been used and abused by her youngest son and his wife that it barely has any meaning to the current generation— most who probably know little about her. She has been dead for over 25 years now, and those who were fond of her and loyal to her work struggle with how her son is using her reputation for his own PR.
Once upon a time, they would have supported him purely because he was her son, but too much harm and damage to the RF and UK has transpired for any true monarchist to continue to support him and his wife. What appears to have happened is that people who support the Sussexes are now part of the anti-monarchy movement. They don’t see the irony in that they support people who are nothing without their titles that derive from the British Royal Family.
People are no longer interested in the duo and their antics, and the recent pap strolls have been mocked with the paparazzi, Karl Larsen calming they are friends and that they were smiling and holding hands.
If they were friends, then why was he hiding in the bushes across the road taking photos, and where exactly are the photos of them holding hands and Harold smiling because I didn’t see any?
Hollywood has always remained officially silent on the duo, with those behind the scenes saying that no one takes them seriously, and that they have no place in Hollywood, hence why there have been no invites to the Oscars or Emmys since they landed in the US, and branded themselves as Archewell. No one was surprised when their Netflix project was not nominated for any awards, except for the Hollywood Critics Awards, but then again was it in the right category as non-fiction when it has been stated some parts were for entertainment purposes only with the addition of stock images and scenes created for effect?
With the current strikes in Hollywood, how will it affect the productions that Netflix has with the Harkles? Someone suggested it would be an ideal opportunity for Netflix to use this an excuse to end the contract as many productions are probably on hold or can’t be finished. With the lack of interest in the Diana projects that Harold is involved in, has the Diana card finally been played to death, allowing her to finally rest in peace?
