Harry and the First Amendment
If you don't understand something, it is wiser not to comment on it publicly
The revelations during the podcast that was aired on 13 May 2021 weren’t particularly interesting, but perhaps showed the world (and BP finally) that Harry really isn’t that bright, and that his words are offensive and cause damage. Let me start by saying that the podcast was edited, and so these claims that Harry said things ‘accidentally’ are poppycock – he knew what he was saying, and if he wanted anything edited, all he had to do was ask as Dax was happy to oblige him in anyway it seemed.
Many of us could see that Harry had attacked the UK Nation, the Monarchy, and his family, at times in a passive aggressive manners and other times directly over the past few years. His words weren’t complex, and his meaning was evident, thus it left the masses confused as to why BP, and many others failed to see the obvious. I understand many wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but instead all they did was enable him to hurl further insults and cause more damage.

As Harry talked freely, with the use of slang and vulgar language, perhaps we saw the real Harry and to be honest, it wasn’t that nice. What did we learn?
Harry has redefined himself as Diana’s son, and that’s how he identifies himself as he played the Diana card again. He was 9 days short of his 13th birthday when her funeral took place, and while he was still a child, he was old enough to take responsibility for his actions.
The victim card is played as he blames his parents for their ‘poor uprbringing’ and in turn names his paternal grandparents as the culprits for how poorly his father has turned out. One can only assume that The Queen did not give in to his requests, and so he has nothing left to lose by criticizing her in public for all to hear. That is disrespectful (if you weren’t aware!), and to make allegations such as these in public, where there is no right to reply is wholly wrong, and not the behaviour of one that has pledged loyalty to the Monarch or their country. Therefore, it can be considered treasonous, where any titles associated with the Nation should be removed. This is used as a reason as to why he had to escape to stop the ‘genetic pain’ that he had suffered. His brother and cousins seem to be doing just fine.
Harry is keen to blame his parental side for failures in his upbringing, yet opts to ignore his maternal side. His maternal grandparents were divorced, and his mother loathed her stepmother and was estranged from her own mother. He also chooses to forget that his mother also have affairs, and that she courted the media herself for revenge, and took part in a public interview knowing that it would harm her children.
We discover that the child known as Archie (who wasn’t even 2 yet) for some reason started school (nursery really) on 22 April 2021, the day that the birthday photos of Louis would be released. A paparazzi just happened to be there, and hasn’t been sued either.
Harry appears to have offended the Americans with his comments on the First Amendment, mocking it as ‘bonkers’, and then stating it is used as a legal loophole (which it true to an extent), but the essential point is that the First Amendment protects the rights of Americans, so that they do not fear persecution for expressing their beliefs, or challenging bodies that maybe corrupt. He states he doesn’t understand it, therefore, it would have ben wiser to have not commented on it at all. However, the basic precepts aren’t difficult to understand as it was written for the masses, so that they would understand their rights. The Bill of Rights, and in particular the First Amendment, was created in order to protect the rights of the People, and not a means to control the media as Harry and TW appear to believe it to be.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Somehow, I don’t think many Americans will be happy with his flippant comments on one of the most quoted and used texts in the Constitution. While BP seems to have caught up after 2 years, their bubble of ‘let’s pretend it will all work out’ has burst, and the pus from the infected boil (sorry if you are eating) is oozing out and the damage is being realized at long last. Time to mop up the mess, but as for healing and forgiveness – that will depend on the People, and how they choose to react.
Our Texas Congressman, Dan Crenshaw, in response to Harry's First Amendment blunder wrote on Twitter: "Well I just doubled the size of my Independence Day party." Thanks, Harry! Woohoo!
Harry is a public person here. The law is a little different. People can say a lot more as long as there isn't liable, defamation or "actual malice". A question for someone. If Harry were sued, would BP have any liability?
