While we await the government and BP to decide what to do about Harold, the Betrayer, the serious consequences of the discussion of his actions in Afghanistan are still raw with members of the Taliban making public comments on this, while radicals use it to further their cause. On the flip side, the tales that TOS/Harold tells us have brought chuckles and laughs to the masses, although I doubt that was his intention.
Above is a clip from a morning television ( This Morning, ITV) show with Carol Vorderman, and Gyles Brandreth laughing at TOS’s memoir and his recollection of him losing his virginity. Both are well respected presenters and broadcasters who couldn’t stop laughing (the other two hosts are Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond). That is how the masses see this, as well as an embarrassment to the nation. TOS is a laughing stock, and there is very little sympathy for him so far, and there was not much after Netflix either.
S P A R E was supposed to have been written by ghostwriter, J.R. Moehringer, but much of the text bears a resemblance to the flowery prose in ‘Finding Freedom’, where one could imagine that the author had a hand in both texts. Reports claim that Moehringer parted company from the project (as predicted before he was ‘Harkled’) and from what has been seen so far, that claim looks highly likely. I assume that any inaccuracies with the book would have been his fault.
I would say ‘fire the therapists’ involved in this because they clearly have done a poor job and have just taken the money.
The book does confirm many of the rumours about TOS’s bad boy behaviour, his drug use, his bad attitude, his disdain for the Monarchy, and that BP/KP did a damned good job of making him look like a decent person all of these years. Most of the text seems to blame someone or something that has happened, and the tone appears to be vindictive and full of envy aimed at William, Kate, Charles, and Camilla so far.
Here are some of the recollections that have been revealed so far, many that cannot be verified because no one else was there, or because they are silenced with an NDA. Some are in the realms of far fetched fantasies, while others are envious digs at others. After reading some, one wonders whether TOS was on magic mushrooms while writing some of the ‘recollections’ as they seem to be pure fantasy!
TOS has been criticised for remarks on Taliban as disloyal to Sovereign, the Army, and the People, plus endangered himself, the RF, and the UK. Some saw it as an attempt to get back his free security, but that would have only been in the UK. He went further discussing his ‘25’ kill which breaches the Official Secrets Act, and also the Army code of conduct. The government have yet to respond, but veterans have criticised TOS, and Pen Farthing (a veteran running a charity in Afghanistan) said he had to evacuate immediately due to potential threats stemming from TOS’s comments.
On a serious note, these threats can affect all British people, especially those who are in the Armed Forces or who are veterans, as well as the Royal Family. Yahoo, via Omid Scobie appears to have the full extract that claim that TOS had a right to discuss his military service. Many are questioning whether Invictus Games should sever ties with TOS given that he has potentially put the lives of veterans at risk with the careless comments made?
Yahoo (via Scobie perhaps) has in the past hour acquired the English version of the extract on the Taliban as the supporters claim that TOS has a right to discuss his military service in detail. At first glance, I would say the full version is even worse as TOS criticises and dismisses his CO, which I believe is not the done thing in the Armed Forces, and especially not in public. Perhaps this was to try an play down the potential security risks, but it’s clear those involved did not consult a military expert to check what was permissible or what straddled the grey line.
Our squadron commander would press his face against the screens, examining, murmuring- wrinkling his nose. He wasn't merely looking for errors, this chap, he was hungry for them. He wanted to catch us in a mistake.
We called him awful names when he wasn't around. We came close to calling him those names to his face. Look, whose side are you on?
But that was what he wanted. He was trying to provoke us, to get us to say the unspeakable.
Why?
Jealousy, we decided.
It ate him up inside that he'd never pulled a trigger in battle. He'd never attacked the enemy.
So he attacked us.
Despite his best efforts, he never found anything irregular in any of our kills. I was part of six missions that ended in the taking of human life, and they were all deemed justified by a man who wanted to crucify us. I deemed them the same.
He calls C3 keeper of the ‘cage’ and refers to his time serving the Crown as a poor deal where he was clothed and fed in return for doing as they asked. He omits the fact that they also housed him, paid for the best education, and the ‘work’ he did consisted of around 30 hours a month if that, where he had to smile, pose for photos, shake hands, and make a few speeches that were written for him. If he didn’t want to do it he could say ‘no’, and if he called in sick there was no penalty and he could go on holiday whebe’re he wanted. I imagine there are several billion people on this planet who would not be complaining about such a deal, where some work 40 plus hours and still struggle to feed their family, and to keep a roof over their heads. TOS also forgets that he didn’t have to work for the Family, and he only worked full-time from 2016-2019.
As expected, he lay into Camilla and said both he and William begged C3 not to marry the evil stepmother as he blamed her for the breakdown of his parent’s marriage. He also claimed that was unhappy that his room was turned into her dressing room, and told TW that she didn’t have to curtsy to her and this was before the wedding, so technically she should have done so.
He claimed he fell asleep waiting for the pregnancy test (1-5 minutes) and when he woke up he saw a blue line next to the box with Diana’s hair! Basically it means he didn’t see her pee on a stick and it turn blue, so it could have been any old stick with a blue line to be honest. TW could have not told him about the test, but apparently she had been taking tests for a while.
He tells the world that he had frostbite on his penis at William’s wedding. Did anyone really want to know how that happened or how he treated it?
Claimed William and Kate encouraged him to wear a Nazi uniform as a fancy dress outfit in 2005, despite the fact he was 20 and an adult, and he was enrolled at Sandhurst and knew better. This was in January 2005, and there are discrepancies as William and Kate were on a break, the fancy dress shop was near Highgrove and William and TOS went there together and chose their outfits.
Admitted to taking cocaine while at Eton, which we all suspected already, and also smoked weed and took magic mushrooms. None of this is a surprise as we known he went into rehab around that time after being caught with weed.
Lost his virginity to an older woman behind a pub in a field when he was 17 years old. Has someone been reading Jilly Cooper, as it sounds like a scene from her books?
Apparently he took TW to Scotland and they saw seals, and she sang to them and they sang back (allegedly) and he thought she was magical. Does TW think she is Ariel, and that she is in a Disney cartoon? One can only laugh upon reading such utter pretentiousness, and when you read he jumped in and swam to the seals, once can only think how stupid is he swimming up to wild animals?
TOS claims that C3 was jealous of TW taking the limelight off him, even though she was a relatively unknown actress who was out of work at the time.
Claims that William looks less like Diana these days (odd comment) and mentions his balding is more advanced than his.
Has digs at Kate, saying that TW said that she must have ‘baby brain’ and it was inappropriate. Manners dictate the if you don’t know someone well, even if related, then you do not make personal comments about them that are sensitive.
He has another dig at Kate, when she appeared to look awkward at the Royal Foundation forum in 2018, when TW asked to use her lipgloss. TOS claims it is an American thing—it is not, it is either something best friends do in emergencies or what low class people do in order to try and use products from others. As TW had not been anywhere else, and had arrived at the venue from whoever she was, it goes to show how shabby and scruffy she was by arriving unprepared.
There are claims that the foetus of the miscarriage was buried under a Banyan tree where TOS dug a hole with his bare hands.
TOS goes into detail about the alleged births of the invisible children, where he had Nando’s for one, shared and burger and fries and fajitas with TW for the other one. People have queried why anyone would eat such food while in labour or prior to giving birth as usually it is not permitted in case surgery is needed. TOS also claims he delivered the child in the USA…
We then have the Diana card of course, with TW touching her gravestone and asking her for guidance (I would imagine Diana would tell her to do one), a woman with special powers (a psychic) telling them what they want to hear—that Diana led TW to Harry, and approves of everything they are doing.
TOS also recounts the events of 8 September 2022, when the Queen was on her death bed. Some events should be kept private, and seeing your granny lying dead in her bed is one of those things. He confirmed that he was not requested to travel to Balmoral but was welcome without his wife. As we expected, William was requested as the next in line to the throne, but the other grandchildren had not been requested. William travelled there as the heir, and all the grandchildren made their own way there later on including TOS
