Harold Sits In The Back Row, As He Drops His Libel Case Against ANL
Harold flies solo as at the Living Legends of Aviation awards
The weekend was rather busy for Harold, but he seems to have been ditched by TW as he was left to fly solo at the ‘Living Legends of Aviation’ awards, and this was just after he dropped his defamation case against ANL.
Case QB-2022-000595 was formally discontinued as of 19 January 2024, and it wasn’t a real surprise as it should have been done a month ago after Justice Nicklin delivered his decision on the application for a summary judgment. Basically, it stated that if the case went to trial then the Defendant (ANL) would stand a good chance of being successful. Harold already had to pay ANL the costs of the SJ, and is now faced with paying ANL’s costs, plus his own costs which could be £1 million for each side.
A brief reminder—this is the alleged defamation where the MoS said in an article that Harold had not made an formal offer to pay for security until after he chose to seek a judicial review and a legal challenge against the Government for what he considered to be inadequate security that befitted his status, claiming he was in danger from the paparazzi at Kew Gardens. The same or similar story was printed in other newspapers, and appeared in other media outlets but only ANL was sued as Harold is keen to take them down.
His legal team with the evidence they had should have advised him not to pursue the case, mainly because the MoS had used information from press releases that the Harkle PR had issued to the Press Association, which as it turns out was misleading misinformation. The only winner is his lawyer Sherborne, and while Harold could have continued the case, it would have ended up wasting court resources and more money—plus, he would have had to release other documents that might not have been advantageous to him in the other legal challenges he is pursing against the Government. Harold made a statement that he is focusing on the judicial review case in order to protect his family, but in reality he was caught out as he obviously tried to get a settlement, and then claim that the tabloid media need to be censored.
Later that day, Harold attended the low key ‘Living Legends of Aviation’ awards where he had been nominated to be an inductee. A petition asking the entity to reconsider the award had been taken down after more than 12,000 people had signed, no doubt the cult had been reporting the petition en masse. However, as the award is decided through nominations made by other ‘legends’ it would have made little difference, but permitted the public to air their views.
As to whether the award was purchased via a donation, the whole event is a fundraiser and ‘legends’ are expected to dig deep into their pockets to support the cause. One would wonder why Harold hadn’t been nominated earlier because he left the Army back in 2015, which is nearly a decade ago and he’s getting the award for being the Army? Therefore, one could conclude that the ‘legends’ might have been wooed very recently in order for Harold to be nominated.
Harold arrived and entered and left via the backdoor. He didn’t even have the decency to walk the red carpet, I imagine because he didn’t want the photographers and paparazzi to have any images of him that they could sell and where he wouldn’t get a cut of the profits. TW failed to make an appearance, and the old chestnut of a child was ill excuse was used. No one believes it for a second, and it was more likely because the attention would not be on her, and there was nothing for her to gain from attending the event. Their alleged pal, Karl Larsen was the only paparazzi who was at the backdoor who managed a couple of snaps of Harold, looking rather sheepish.
Surely if an invisible child had been so ill that TW had to remain at home, then why didn’t Harold mention it and dash home straight away to be with the sick child?
I highly doubt Harold paid for a VIP table, and he didn’t appear to have been invited to any either as an organiser showed him to Table 115, at the back which looked like an organiser/sponsor table. A video clip showed him (in disbelief) asking if this is where he was going to sit. This is what he has ‘married into’, being reduced to having to sit for free at the organiser’s table. Surely Archewell could have coughed up for a VIP table and filled it with Archewell staff as an end of year bonus treat—that is if they have staff left.
There didn’t appear to be any PR entourage either, and images show Harold sitting near the back with people that he didn’t know, and ones he probably didn’t want to network with. You can see from the images that Harold is not near the stage, and he is seated at the back of the room. From his sitting arrangements, it’s clear that Harold didn’t buy a ticket and there was no room for him at any VIP tables.
A few attendees posted images of the event, and Harold was photographed with a faux prince called Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe (who turned out to have been adopted when he was 23 years old by a relative) and where the family are unhappy that he is using the title for personal financial gain, and apparently he doesn’t have the right to use the title either.
It's very painful for me, this guy has been harvesting our name for his personal gain. (Prince Alexander of Schaumburg-Lippe.)
Harold also seem picky about who to be photographed with and denied a request from a couple of attendees who are pilots and part of the aviation community, but couldn’t exactly say no to some women who looked to be part of the organising team who are wearing their badges. Whether the badges are fake or not, they look a little cheap and tacky—just imagine TW having to pick it up and show it as ID to get in and out of the venue!
A portrait of Harold was also being painted at the event, however, it was based on an old photo when Harold had hair and clearly depicts him in his army uniform. However, it wasn’t enough to get him a seat at the front of the stage. In his attempt to be funny or witty, he made a joke aimed at John Travolta about him ‘dining out’ on his experience of dancing with Diana 38 years ago. The suggestion was that Travolta had been using his dance with Diana in order to be successful and popular. Putting religion and politics aside, Travolta has achieved success through talent, and then made a come back after Grease and Saturday Night Fever with Pulp Fiction—no one under the age of 35 will even remember the dance or know what Harold was talking about. It is he that is ‘dining out’ by using Diana’s name whenever he can drop it in, and that is his only selling point.
Did Harold deserve the award? He is living at least, but is he a legend—most sane people would either choke or laugh at such a suggestion. The Harkles are reduced to low level vanity awards that the media have little interest in covering, however, they are still using and abusing the titles for personal and financial gain. After this event, surely people can see how unpopular the duo are, and that by associating with them they will lose public support? Harkled!
