The Invictus Games at The Hague (16 April 2022).
This is all that Harry has left to monetize— the Invictus Games, and he uses the charity to promote his foundation (Archewell), and to profit by using it as a Netflix project. Why is TW, as a wife of the patron and a guest at the event being given a platform to deliver her usual word salad speech when it would have been more appropriate for the Dutch hosts to do so? She was a plus one guest, but she could not miss an opportunity to preach to the cult. There were stifled silences when she waited for applause, and she threw in the buzzwords of ‘service, family, and community’ to gain some reaction.
The only service TW has been involved in is serving her own promotional needs. As for family, she pretends none of hers exists as they serve no purpose except for the black mother who appears when she needs to use the race card. Community? Is that another word for her ‘cult’?
The Invictus Games is supposed to be about veterans, yet nearly all the coverage has been about the patron and his wife. TW copied Diana during her numerous photo ops over the few days she attended the event, including a copy of the off the shoulder top that Diana once wore in a photo shoot. In the early days, Harry avoided publicity because he didn’t wish to detract from the veterans and the games—today, he is happy to take the spotlight because he owes Netflix some material that they can actually use and sell. That may not be so easy since Netflix subscribers have been on the decline, not only due to boycotting campaigns, but also households, in a bid to save money on escalating energy bills are cancelling streaming subscriptions. Then Netflix faces a class action lawsuit in Russia as the services have been suspended. On the other hand if they had not suspended the service in Russia, then more people would have cancelled in protest!

Harry’s grey suit made another appearance, and dare we say it is better than the awful beige/camel suit he wore a few days later. He stumbled over a few of his lines as both appeared to use an autocue, glancing at screens because this was all for the Netflix project, down to the staged lingering kiss on stage. The crowd seemed to have been ‘nudged’ to cheer as the interactions were not organic or spontaneous. The ‘standing ovation’ was slow, with a few in the front row standing, and others then felt obliged to slowly join in within the next minute.
It is an insult to the Invictus Games Foundation to be used as a platform for PR purposes, and not only that, but the IGF have probably paid the expenses for Harry and his wife (plus staff) to be there. Those funds came from donations and grants, and one must question whether that is a good use of funds. It is of course allowed, but is it ethical? Some patrons choose to pay themselves and decline the offer from the charity, while others choose to milk the charity for what they can, whether it’s an extra night in the hotel or a First Class ticket rather than Business Class, plus all the excess luggage allowance.
The entire event appears to have been a PR exercise, with additional interviews being staged with Harry following on from the OW interview in 2021, suggesting that the Queen is in ‘danger’ and that he needed to visit to ‘protect’ her. Protect her from what? The only people she needs protection from is the Sussexes it seems. Harry is the eternal victim in his own head, where he can’t protect himself, yet he believes he must protect and save his father, brother, and granny, and the entire world from anyone that disagrees with what he thinks or says.
There are special places for people that are deluded, and the RF have the means and money to provide the help that Harry obviously needs. The RF cannot allow him to keep damaging the reputation of the monarchy and the House of Windsor. The ‘keep calm, and carry on’ approach is not a long term solution to a dark and dirty problem that keeps reappearing when the duo wish to promote their royal titles and ties.
Should the Sussexes be allowed to appear during the Platinum Jubilee, then the House of Windsor should brace themselves for the wrath of the People, for the Sussexes only serve their own needs, and the masses strongly disapprove of the Harry and his wife being part of any public events. The Prince Philip memorial offered no photo or PR opportunities, so it wasn’t worth Harry attending, but the Invictus Games have given him free rein to do whatever he wants. He is using it as a week long PR campaign, and one that he didn’t even have to pay for, but where he will make money from it instead.
