The Harry And $$Netflix Show

The Sussex reality show uses the Invictus Games as their stage

When Harry announced he would be doing an Invictus Games special which would be sold to Netflix, we all knew that meant exploitation of the charity, event, and all the participants. Due to Covid-19, the project was delayed while Netflix were left tapping their fingers very loudly after a large advance that yielded nothing for a couple of years. The event is being used as a stage for the Netflix production, and even the cynics cannot deny that the coverage has focused on Harry’s interviews, and TW’s attempt to make red carpet appearances for photo ops rather than the event itself.

One can’t help but be amused when you watch the desperate Netflix crew following Harry’s every move as he basks in his new life of privacy, just as they did in New York. That is unless you are willing to give him millions as Netflix has done, and then Harry will be your puppet, smile and do as many camera triggering interviews for you it seems. Netflix isn’t doing so well as the ‘Harkle’ curse strikes again as the company has been rumoured to have lost $50 billion in value recently. That comes from a mixture of suspending services in Russia due to the invasion of Ukraine, the company cracking down on password sharing, people who boycotted the company due to the Sussexes, and cancellations as households cut costs due to the energy crisis.

Apparently, the crew have ditched their media bibs in an attempt to look inconspicuous, but as you can see from the videos they are anything but, and apparently the organisers of the event are not too happy about Harry’s team bending the rules to suit themselves. Each interaction is staged, with Harry and his wife carefully hugging random people long enough for the camera to get a clean shot. This was the Sussexes parading themselves, using the Invictus Games as a red carpet event that they didn’t have to pay for, and that Netflix will pay them for. TW seems content to hug any random stranger for a photo op, but can’t hug her own (flesh and blood) father or sister—ironic given that she bleats on about community, and empathy when she has none.

We saw the Archewell ‘team’ in action, where we saw James Holt, a former employee of The Royal Foundation running behind his master. Holt chose the dark side it seems, and was likely the source of PR Sussex leaks and stories while he worked in the Royal Household. In the ANL case, he was also named by Lord Justice Warby as the source who had contacted the media with copies of court documents before they had been filed. I wonder if he has earned his ‘thirty pieces of silver’ yet?

However, Holt might be a Director at Archewell but it didn’t stop another (over eager to impress) employee shoving him out of the way when they thought a camera was too close, and that the Archewell/Netflix team would not get the best clear shots. It appeared to be Toya Holness, who sprinted over in a passive aggressive manner to push a camera (that was not on the payroll) back. She emitted some whiny, feral and as Woolf calls it ‘fictitious sympathy’, saying ‘Sorry (not sorry)’. I mean, the Founder and Director of Archwell didn’t have a problem with the camera (and looked as confused as we all are about the fuss), where a lowly, but ambitious employee saw an opportunity to exert what little power she believed she had in order to impress. That, it appears is what Archewell is about—a trivial power game based on a faux belief of importance.

Further money seems to have exchanged hands as the Today show had an exclusive interview with Harry, that just happened to air the day before the Queen’s 96th birthday, with People magazine hopping onto the bandwagon as well. Some may say it was a coincidence, but it was obviously primed for maximum PR exposure which is despicable. Harry played the Diana card whenever he could, now he hopped on the coattails of his granny’s birthday for some PR for himself.

How did the media respond? Most have mocked him, but did they need to ruin the Queen’s birthday and put him on the front page? The Sussexes only do interviews for money or PR that benefits them, and where they stand to gain by promoting a narrative that they want in the public domain. Harry wanted to portray himself as a saviour to his family as he visited the Queen to make sure she was being ‘protected’, at which most people would either have laughed or wonder what the F he was talking about.

He also used the interview (OW 2.0) to portray himself as a ‘victim’ again, claiming he needed full security before he could visit the UK. Somehow, it had gone over his head that he had visited and left in secrecy and safety already! Was this an attempt to try and coerce the government to give in to his demands, and did he expect a public outcry of people to shout, ‘Give Harry the protection so that he can come to the Jubilee!’ because he believes he is popular?

On the contrary, most people breathed a sigh of relief that the government has stood firm, and are glad that he hasn’t announced he is attending the event (yet). The masses do not want him there because it would be considered disrespectful, and no outlet has been pushing for him or his family to attend, but rather they are campaigning to make sure he doesn’t attend, publicly at least. Harry’s attempt to drum up support for him coming to the Jubilee has fallen flat, and BP, KP, and CH have all remained silent on the matter for they can’t have failed to notice that if Harry and co turn up, then the People will turn their backs on what is left of the House of Windsor. The flames are still ablaze, and they need to put them out once and for all before there is nothing left to salvage.
