The Harkles Appear To Use Remembrance Week For PR

The duo could not have predicted the ongoing wars in Europe and the Middle East, during what seemed to be an attempt to use Remembrance Week for PR purposes. Harold seems to have been pushing for fancy but meaningless titles with the charities he has been involved with—African Parks added him as a member of the board, while Scotty’s Little Soldiers gave him a grandiose title of ‘global ambassador’ even though the charity only operates in England and Wales (not Scotland) according to documentation from the Charity Commission. Yes, they don’t even cover the entire UK so why do they need a ‘global ambassador except for effect?

The week began with Harold’s video for the ‘Stand up for Heroes’ where he attempted some kind of comedy sketch at the event at the New York Comedy Festival on 6 November 2023. What was more amusing than Harold flailing his arms around and trying to sound witty was him wearing four medals.

One was for his service in Afghanistan, and the other three were commemorative medals for the Golden, Diamond and Platinum jubilees that are given for attendance at the events.

None of the media were interested in Harold’s act as other performers such as Bruce Springsteen that evening were far more important and talented. A bit of a PR fail, and the duo had even made an appearance at a Katy Perry concert in Las Vegas the day before with Misha Nonoo and her billionaire husband. It seems this is the only way TW can get any media coverage, by showing up at concerts and trying to get into the VIP areas—first it was allegedly Taylor Swift, then Beyonce, and now Katy Perry. Harold looked his usual miserable self and the duo appeared to hitch a ride on a private plane to Vegas and back to California that evening—no after show VIP party invites it seems?

A couple of days later (8 November), the duo made their way to San Diego and attended the opening of a new mental health facility for the Navy Seal Foundation. The entity is not federal or a government body and has no status with the Department of Defense, but you wouldn’t know that unless you read the small print on their website. The duo also visited Camp Pendleton and met with veterans and their families where apparently, TW said, “I'm watching my husband over there — you see how much joy it brings him to be back on a base, and he immediately goes back into military banter," which is all rather odd as she was never a military wife as he left the army in 2015— well before they had even met, so how would she know what is military banter? They did take their own photographer Matt Sayles with them in order to provide content for Archewell of course.

The ribbon cutting event was cringeworthy as usual, and TW clearly pushed her way to the front to be as close to the microphone and the person cutting the ribbon to be in the photographs. From the video, everyone stands well behind their mark out of respect, while TW stands on the mark and blocks everyones view. Even poor old Harold knew to stand behind the white line and with everyone else because that is protocol.

There has been mention of the duo wearing of poppies, and while in the UK we wear them, in the US it is not the tradition. While Harold was brought up wearing poppies during Remembrance Week and one expects him to continue to do so, did TW really need to be wearing poppies? Was it an attempt to try and appear to be representing the British monarchy again by using the British titles and by wearing poppies? Only the sugary cult media platforms appeared to cover the ‘story’, namely People magazine, Elle and Vanity Fair.

In the courts, the Markle vs Markle case, a hearing was held on 8 November to determine whether the case should or should not be dismissed. The judge will deliver their verdict in about a month. As for TOS’s case against ANL, Justice Nicklin, the case will proceed but no evidence from the Leveson Inquiry will be permitted. The cases should be about new evidence that wasn’t available at the time. All the cases differ slightly, and one case might be stronger than another if there is direct evidence of foul play rather than speculation. One should note that ANL has not filed a defence, but has challenged the validity of the Claimant’s claims in that the case was not initiated within the 6 years (s.2 Limitation Act 1980), and such claims can only be dealt with at trial to decide if the claim has merit.

Therefore, the ‘The Limitation Application’ was permitted, and ‘The Restriction Order Application’ was upheld. This means that the Final Restriction Order from the Leveson Inquiry stands, and any claims that have relied on material from the Ledgers from the Inquiry breached the restriction order. That means that the affected Particulars of Claim must be amended or the claims pursued must be removed.

ANL contends that Harold was aware of the phone hacking claims (Unlawful Information Gathering) prior to 2016, and had the means to bring a case then. How will his legal team handle this? By blaming BP, the Royal Family lawyers, or someone else? As Harold has stated he had suspicions of phone hacking prior to 2016, and he had ample time to pursue a case and that is a fact. His subsequent statement claims he was not aware of Unlawful Information Gathering until 2019, after he was married and around the time when he met David Sherborne (his lawyer) at Elton John’s house.

His key witness to his claims is an American PI (Danny Hanks) who has served time in state and federal prisons, and appears to be keen to use the publicity to pursue a movie career. Probably not the most reliable source…

244. As to constructive knowledge, Associated’s case against Prince Harry is that, given his position and profile, the fact that his suspicions had been aroused by the behaviour of journalists and information that was published, and his general awareness of phone-hacking by NGN, he could with reasonable diligence have discovered sufficient facts to bring a claim for Unlawful Information Gathering against Associated before October 2016.
