A preliminary hearing was held on Friday 18 February 2022, where Harry is claiming a decision made by the government and RAVEC was incorrect. In this claim, he states that he believes he is entitled to round-the-clock police protection due to his status, being in the line of succession.
Not only have the ducal titles been monetized, the line of succession is now been used as a tool to demand a privilege that Harry is no longer entitled to. While an empty gesture to pay the police has been made (although the initial claims of an offer have been officially denied by the Home Office), it is a well-known fact that the services of the police are not available privately, nor can they be paid for privately.
Another claim was made that upon leaving the WellChild Awards event in June 2021, he was chased by photographers (who had been informed of his attendance by the Sussex PR), and due to this he felt his security was compromised and he felt he was in danger.
