When the news that two top executives of Invictus Canada 2025 had been fired all of a sudden last week with rumours of the event being over budget already, most of us thought they had been ‘harkled’. Then, all of a sudden there is full blown Harkle PR campaign in Vancouver a mere 5 days after the firings. Surely in the best interests of Invictus, it would have been better to ‘fire’ staff after the visit, that is unless they were the obstacles to the visit in terms of paying for it? It all seems rather odd that the firings coincided with a fully fledged PR campaign…
Perhaps the visit would not have gone ahead if the CEO and CCO had not been fired because it seems like the Harkles had planned engagements outside of Invictus ones? By hook or by crook, the trip had to go ahead, and Invictus had to pick up the tab because Harold is the patron, so who signed off on the expenditure? Often when expenses incur a hybrid use, expenses would be apportioned or split so there is no conflict of interest, so was this the reason for the sudden dismissals of key personnel in Invictus?
I couldn’t quite understand why they attended the hockey game except that it took place at the Rogers Arena, which is where the closing ceremony of Invictus Vancouver/Whistler in February 2025 (if the games go ahead) will take place. That’s really about it, and then they threw in the royal connection with Harold copying his late granny in the ceremonial puck drop. First he mimics and copies his mother, and now it’s his late granny for some publicity, because that’s the best his PR can do to try and remind the world he has a royal title and connection.
Many are wondering why TW showed up and it became evident that this was used as some kind of audition tape, with her usual animated and at times smug poses, a bit of cringeworthy staged dancing, over exaggerated gasps, and she’s the only one looking right at the cameras in most the images. Old pal, Markus Anderson showed up and TW’s vein made an appearance too.
The visit was obviously PR prepped with the rather sad and pathetic use of the titles and even the monogram had been added. The need to cling to the royal connection is rather desperate, and TW of course made a ‘secret’ visit somewhere that was non-Invictus. She visited the Justice for Girls non-profit, to exploit more vulnerable people for some photos and PR. Let’s hope it was worth it and she gave them a decent donation at least.
With all the negative PR surrounding TW, you wonder why charities still wish to be associated with her? They turned off comments on Facebook and Instagram (with less than 800 likes in 2 days), so they are aware of the negative view that many have of TW, but I guess money can buy just about anything including moral principles!
Not all Americans are fooled by the duo as they have made the Kitson window of hypocrisy this year. Perhaps they could use this for their Christmas card this year?
